Kristin has handled cases all over the state of Tennessee in federal courts, state courts, and small claims courts. She has experience with at least 20 jury trials, administrative law cases, licensing boards, and the Federal Merit System Protection Board. She has taken at least a dozen cases to the Tennessee Court of Appeals, where she has defended successful verdicts, as well as had bad verdicts overturned. While sometimes there is no solution except trial, Kristin believes that not every case needs to be dragged through time consuming and expensive litigation. She believes that sometimes the best outcome is one you settle yourself, and to that end, she has assisted her clients in mediations with negotiated settlements in hundreds of cases.
Kristin began her career as an insurance defense lawyer, and now in her private practice, has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of cases including timeshare fraud, complex commercial and business cases, real estate cases, will contests, employment cases, shareholder and LLC dispute cases, construction cases, tort cases, landlord/tenant disputes on both sides, and cases involving personal injuries and property disputes. However, no case is too small, and indeed Kristin has spent a lot of time in small claims court assisting clients in obtaining justice in small disputes.
